Old recipe from an old place called Santa Maria da Feira in the north of Portugal (now became a city) with a strong hint of lemon zest, crispy on the first bite, and very soft inside. Made with eggs, sugar, lemon and flour, it is more like a soft cake.
One of our most traditional biscuits, "s" shaped, sprinkled with cinnamon and baked with portuguese olive oil. Hard texture, lovely for a snack at any time.

The most typical portuguese cake ever since. Very common in our local markets, this small cake is baked in wood-fired oven at low temperature and made after an old recipe. Finished with an icing sugar toping, it is crispy untill last minute. This dough is the same as our sponge cake.

This cake resembles a crown covered with crystallized and dried fruit. It is called "King Cake" and at Christmas every portuguese home takes one to celebrate the season. This recipe is kept in family secret since 1930. It is about a traditional portuguese bread, once sold in small local street markets, made of flour, eggs, sugar and natural bakers yeast. It is baked in a wood-fired oven, which brings its genuine flavour and taste. Yummy for breakfast or brunch, toasted or untoasted, it goes perfectly with jam & butter. Excellent to accompany portuguese cheeses.

This is an extraordinary portuguese dessert, made of eggs, sugar and Port Wine. Resulting in a very creamy cake, ideal for an exquisite and unique meal. Combination of Port Wine in this recipe was introduced by D. Ermelinda Portuguese Delicacies.
Probably one of the best portuguese delicacies ever since. This dessert is known to be born in the Middle Age monasteries, made by devoted nuns. It used to be made with lard (which means "toucinho"), reason why Portuguese call it "Toucinho". Almond, eggs and sugar are the most important ingredients to bake this extraordinary almond sponge pudding.
